Limits you can read before you buy.
Every allowance, rate and download limit, and exactly how each is counted.

These are the launch defaults enforced by the service (policy launch-2026-09-23-v1). They may change as we learn from real use; changes are listed in the changelog.
How counting works
- One allowance per account. Every agent, token, session and project on your account shares it. A new token or project doesn't reset anything.
- Only successful content operations count. Invalid, failed and denied calls don't. A search that finds nothing still counts, because it did the work.
- A premium guide counts once per window, however many times you open it.
- A premium template family counts once, ever. Activating it again, on another project, or taking its updates never counts again.
- Reading your usage and projects is free.
get_usage,get_project_profileandpropose_project_decisiononly have a rate limit (60 reads and 10 proposals a minute). - When you reach a limit, that part pauses until it resets, and the error says when. We never bill for extra use.
Billing, grace and cancelling
- If a renewal payment fails, Creator keeps working for 72 hours from the renewal date, but you can't activate new template families during that time.
- Cancel online any time; you keep Creator until the end of the period you paid for. Free only covers the first 30 days after sign-up. Cancellation and refunds.
- For 30 days after paid access ends you can re-download the last delivered version of families you activated (up to 2 GiB in total).
- Your licence to what Motif already delivered doesn't end when you cancel. Template licence.
What limits can't do
Limits make bulk copying slow and visible; they can't recall anything already delivered, and we don't pretend otherwise. Using your whole allowance, using several agents, or cancelling after a month is normal use, not abuse. Your agent's own model costs are separate from Motif and paid to your AI provider.
